Hi group,
I'm running XP Pro and whenever I want to do just "vanilla" boot, i.e.
restart after updates without shutting it down cold my drives are not
detected. When I shut the power off completely it boots normally. Any ideas
why or how to fix it?

Thanks

Check that your processor is not running too hot.. the same thing was
happening to me. Check your logs to see if any services were affected
too, memory errors, etc.

Thanks for replying. My processor temp is ok, so is the fan speed. Logs
don't indicate any problems. I'm stumped by this. No memory errors
(Kingston 512 DDR). Weird. As soon as I shut it down completely and reboot
right away it's ok.
