I don't know whether this is a problem with the software (windows media
player) or XP.
Yesterday I was using wmp to play music while playing spider solitaire. I
minimised wmp, but was then unable to restore it. When I right-clicked the
taskbar icon, all the options were greyed out, and I could neither restore
it nor close it (incidentally, it was still playing).
I tried ctr-alt-del to stop it.....task manager stopped responding, and the
task manager window turned into a white space!
This happened a couple of hours after I'd downloaded and installed windows
update 821557, so I don't know if there's a connection.
Following a reboot, wmp seems to be working as normal.
