Keep getting this small eye with white box with a red
cross in it at the bottom left-hand side of my screen.
What does this mean please? It isn't there all the time.

usually means that a picture that's supposed to be there, ISN'T

Sandie,
I'm not sure, but if you mean the 'eye' icon appears in a frame at the
bottom left of Internet Explorer's status bar,
its a 'privacy policy' notification relating to cookies. You can for
instance choose to block all cookies, but it would make using web pages a
pain if you did. Most people have a medium setting, and the icon appears to
remind you that a 'medium' (or lower setting) is not completely safe from a
security point of view.
