always appears at startup

I am new to XP, got it with a new pc.
After I set everything up, all workds fine except now
when my pc starts up, an open window appears showing the
contents of the c:\windows\system32 folder.
I can close it & all is well but next time at startup it
appears again.
Not a big problem but very annoying!
Any suggestions?

Upon Boot". Download this repair file and then run the repair.
