just loaded XP Pro..what a nightmare. Can anyone tell me
where the Administrator account is. I see the 2 other
account i created at setup but no administrator?

At the logon screen hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice (2 times) that will bring =
up the logon box | type in =BB administrator =AB HTH.

Bill;
Once other accounts are created, Administrator is hidden.

To access, at log on screen Ctrl/Alt/Del twice.
Type Administrator and password.

You can use Tweak UI to have Administrator shown:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

However you are better off leaving Administrator for emergencies.
Have another profile with Administrative access for Administrative
duties.
Use Limited Accounts for all routine tasks.

Hi Bill,

The Administrator account it hidden by default. To login as administrator,
press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen and type the password (if
set).

To show Administrator login in Welcome screen,

Start the Registry Editor [Regedit.exe]
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \
CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList \
Right-click an empty space in the right pane and select New > DWORD Value
Name the new value Administrator
Double-click this new value, and enter 1 as it's Value data
Close the registry editor
