installing a new hard drive, have XP Home version, want
to do a back up, no back up file.

Read the KBQ308422, know where it should be
1.. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to
Accessories, point to
System Tools, and then click Backup. The Backup or
Restore Wizard starts...

.....Backup not there. Any ideas where i can find the
programme? Tried the add
system
components option, not listed. Bit stuck now hence the
question.

Thanks in advance

dianna:
Backup is not installed by default in WinXP Home. Please see the
following...
"HOW TO: Install Backup from the CD-ROM in Windows XP Home Edition"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;302894
If you are unable to find the Ntbackup.msi file on your CD, you can try
downloading it from
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/software/ntbackup.msi
