I am going to upgrade from XP Home to XP Professional. My
computer automatically installed XP Home when I first
purchased it. There is some software (such as a cd
burning program and other stuff) that came with the
initial installation. If I upgrade to XP Prof, will I
lose those applications? How can I keep them? Thanks

Jason;
Everything should be safe during the upgrade.
Before starting, reboot, disable all unnecessary applications
including antivirus.
Insert the Windows XP Pro CD.
Select the option to upgrade, follow prompts.
Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.
