My computer always defaults to a black background. I've
been using windows software for a long time and now how
to change my background, but for the life of me I can't
keep the black background from appearing after I reboot,
or even after fifteen minutes on the computer. The
default background name appears to be MGWXP. Any ideas
would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi Brett,
Sounds as though it is getting set to none on a default install. However,
beings you mentioned a non-xp name, this is probably due to a desktop
changer that you haven't applied the routine for.
