When I restart XP,
1. The system 'hangs' at the starting screen. I then do a
forced shut down, and restart
2. The following message appears: -

Checking file system on C: The type of the file system is
FAT32. One of your
disks needs to be checked for consistency. You may cancel
the disk check,
but it is strongly recommended that you continue. Windows
will now check the
disk. Volume serial number is 2C69-8FA. Windows is
verifying files and
folders \WINNT\Tasks\SA.DAT first allocation unit is not
valid. The entry
will be truncated. The size of the \WINNT\system32
\config\software.log entry
is not valid.

Can anyone help?

John
