You can assign administrative privileges to individual users. =20
Open the Control Panel and click on User Accounts. Click on
"Change an Account", then click on a User Account you wish
to change, then click on "Change the Account Type".

If she has XP Home, have her boot to Safe Mode and log onto the account
named "Administrator"

If she has XP Pro, have her press Ctrl+Alt+Del, Del to bring up the Win2000
style logon prompt. Logon with the Administrator account.

If a password wasn't assigned to this default account when setting up the
machine, it will be blank. Otherwise, the password is whatever she used
during the setup.

Once she is logged on with the Administrator account, she can access
Control Panel> User Accounts. She could create a new account for herself in
the Administrator group or shift her existing Limited account to the
Administrator group.
