View Full Version : MSN Messenger for XP Compatability problem

I've read the posts on getting netmeeting working from MSN Messenger
when using XP. Whenever I change the compatability to win2000 and try
to run it it just re-installs MSN messenger 6. Is there a way to stop
this?

Also I try to do the same with winodws messenger to get the "start
netmeeting" but it does not show up in the menu!! Any ideas???

AFAIK Messenger 6 has no mechanism to allow the (re)introduction of the
"Start NetMeeting" command on XP.

What Windows Messenger are you refrerring to? WM 5 does not respond to the
"compatiblity" trick but requires a registry change.
