I am setting up distinct "Users" for the first time in
WinXP, and I want to share one email account and address
book among all users for purposes of OE. No problem
directing OE to a shared email folder for each user, but
can't figure out how to do the same with the Windows
Address Book. Any help greatly appreciated.

DHutt,
I would not do what you plan, if using OE, it might be safe in =
OUTLOOK9x/200x. In time your message store will be corrupted, and =
messages might be permantly lost for all. Also the OE address book could =
also be damaged, if you share a non stand alone OE Address Book (*.wab) =
file.

For the mail acct and its messages, you will need to place the acct in =
each persons' OE identity. And set OE to leave a copy of the messages on =
the server for that acct, so others can download the same messages. Now =
you will need decide when the messages will be deleted from the server. =
In OE you can set that messages be deleted after XX days automatically, =
you may need to select someone to manage this. There might be limits on =
a ISP's mail server, that you might need to pay more for a larger mail =
acct, .

In OE> TOOLS> Accounts> Mail Accts tab> Select Mail acct> Properties =
button> Advance tab> Select Leave Messages on Server> Select how you =
want messages deleted from server.

Stand Alone Address book Info from Tom Koch:

Add MS News Server to your OE with news://msnews.microsoft.com/
