I take an online college class which requires a Shockwave player, however the Download.exe is not responding and I'm unable to download Shockwave. This is a new computer with XP. I've done other downloads on this computer and haven't had any problems. Is t
here a compatibility issue with XP and Shockwave, or could the problem be elsewhere? I sent the error report but so far nothing has happened.

Not sure what download.exe is. A file provided by the school? Normally a
download.exe file is not needed to obtain the player. The most recent
version of the player is available for downloading directly from
