Is there a way to prevent drive mappings from "timing out" in that the red X doesn't appear? I've pointed my end users My Documents folder to their home directory for backup purposes. They just can't seem to grasp the concept of working out of a drive ma
pping raht than locally. Anyway, when someone opens an Office application and goes to open a file from the history list, the file won't open because the file path is pointing to a drive mapping that has not been accessed in a while (has the red X). They
have to go touch the drive mapping under My Computer. Not good in end user world, too many steps and of course telling them to oepn the file from it's location rather than from within the application is not acceptable either.
