It is really difficult to know what to do. I don't use
Yahoo, but what i have done with my hotmail account is to
set the junk mail filter as high as it will go and select
the option to delete mail before it reaches my inbox. I
don't know whether yahoo do anything similar. Basically
what it means is that, if the person sending you the
email is not in your address book then the mail just gets
deleted. It is a little drastic and you may loose some
mail, but then i think this is the whole idea of this
bombardment. Your mail provider may suggest emailing to
the abuse department at the recieving isp, just as a way
of ducking their responsibility. However, don't bother I
have emailed every abuse department on every email i have
recieved and they have all come back as non existant or
undeliverable. If by any cahnce your email address
appaers on any yahoo directory then see if there is a way
of keeping it out of the directory. Your email address is
usually obtain by people with software trawling mail
directories and newsgroups. Failing all of this change
your email address and make sure only people you want to
know it, know about it.
On the newsgroups you could also try fitting 'no spam'
into your email address. Such as:
I know what i would like to do with the parasites that
sedn this mail out but, unfortunately, it is not
repeatable here.
