Can someone tell me why I have been getting this End
Program error, Computer not responding: hpcmpmgr.exe, for
the last month, when I shutdown my computer?
What do I do to fix and is it a serious problem?
Thanks for your help

Frank,
This is HP's Component Manager, and is a "phone home" application.
This means it is (or trying to) make regular links to HP. Like most
of this type of junk it's probably not needed. However, most of the
relevant links on Google are no longer available. I did see a utility
mentioned that is suppose to disable this app, which could mean this
is not something that can simply be disabled in "Start up".
Maybe someone else will have more information. Meanwhile, I'll
keep looking.
