Why does my computer restart itself? I have Windows XP
Home, and I shut it down properly, the computer is turned
off, but a while later, it is back on.

Open your computer's BIOS and disable "wake on LAN" and/or "wake on =
ring".

If you do not know how to open the BIOS, consult your computer's
owner's manual for instructions.

Look in your BIOS for a option called "wake on LAN", "wake on ring", or
something similar. Disable this option. ( If it is enabled, your computer
will turn on when the phone rings)
