I have XP Pro. I have installed software as the admin and it works fine, but when the users logon they get error messages or it will pull up the last install file and try to reinstall software. I have added basic R/W/L rights to the C drive, program dire
ctory and the windows directory. The software uses a subdirectory in windows and it won't let the user have access to it to run the software properly. Can anyone help?

You can do this:

As Admin goto the program folder where the program is you want to share.
On the top bar click folders.
Still in the same folder click and hold the right mouse button on the .exe
file for the program you wish to share to
Without letting the button go drag it into
the left frame that opened when you clicked folders
My Computer don't let go,
when it opens
drag to C: still keep holding
then into Documents and Settings
then All Users or pick the User
Still holding the right mousebutton drag to Desktop, Start Menu or where
ever you want it to be.
When you reach the place you want release the right mouse button and select
Create Shortcut here.

Now the users you wish can use the programs you wish without having to
reinstall by using the Shortcut you created.

BTW this will work with any file. Hope this is what you were looking for.
