returning picture to rightful place

Something has happened to my display---everything moved about 1/2 inch to the left. Now I have a black bar on the right, and I cannot see the beginning 1/2 inch material on the left. How do I get the display to return to the centered position where it ha
s been until recently. I have tried the support options, but I keep going through the same loop. Nothing seems to help!

Use the buttons and/or On Screen Display of your *monitor* to shift the
focus of the display.
