Hi,
I tried posting this message yesterday (9/24) at 2pm CST and it never showed
up. If somehow this turns out to be a duplicate post, I apologize.

1. I cannot seem to get two computers to communicate via a direct serial
connections
a. Device manager says that ports are working
b. I have set ports in both computers to identical baud rates and
decreased the sensitivity. In fact, I've tried several settings
c. I'm running XP Pro on both computers (one a retail version, the
other OEM) and both are up to date
d. I've used both the XP CD and a wizard disk in the "old" computer
e. I've tried this process with Computer B to A and again with Computer
C to B (3 computers), using a variety of serial port combinations. I always
get the same result.

2. The Files and Settings Transfer Wizard will not write to a CD-RW disk,
but I can easily write and rewrite files to any CD-RW disk when using
Windows Explorer.
a. F&STW will not give me an option of installed Floppy or Zip drives
in the Floppydrive or other removeable media window
b. If I select the CD-RW drive in the "Other" window, when it gets
ready to write, I get an invalid disk message.

If anyone else has encountered and overcome this problem, I'd appreciate any
guidance you may be willing to give me.

Thanx in advance.

Jerry
