View Full Version : Disbling "zip as foldr" - permanently?

This is insane.

I'd like Win XP to treat Zip files as files, rather than folders. this means
no searching in zip files, and no "compressed folder" nonsense.

I've tried the recommended solution:

regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll

And I even deleted zipfldr.dll, afterwards - but every few days, I find that
it has restored itself: my searches are once again dog-slow, and WinZip no
longer opens Zip files.

Any suggestions?

TIA -
