My friend loaded Windows xp Pro on my new computer(my
first). At one point during the install,he spelled my name
incorrectly but did not adjust it.The name is correct in
all but one folder of three, downstream from Documents
and Settings.I have tried to rename the files ,but to no
avail;I get a message : Doug Camreron is a Windows System
folder and is required for Windows to run properly. It
cannot be moved or renamed. My friend is now of the
opinion that the c-drive has to be F-disked and start
from scratch.I would appreciate anyone who might have an
alternate solution, to kindly inform me as to what could
be less a traumatic cure for my ills. Thanks for
considering.

Also you can change ownership in programs. You can make the changes =
manually through the Registry, if you are comfortable with editing the =
Registry.

START> RUN> Type: regedit> Under EDIT in the Toolbar> Find>
type: RegOwner
type:RegCompany

Then Right-click each line> Modify Value> Change to desired setting.
