i have a dell inspiron 5100, can i play a dvd with it? i
tried putting a dvd in the drive tray but nothing
happend, please tell me what to do? ( not really very
good with computer ).

Well, you need a DVD drive (an ordinary CD-ROM drive will not work). Do you
have one?

Do you have dvd driver installed?

1. You need a DVD Drive installed (CD ROM drives cannot play DVD). See
front of Drive, most will say DVD somewhere.
2. To Play DVD Movies you need decoder software such as PowerDVD to
decode encrypted DVD Movies.
