The notification area of my task bar has changed. The icons are smaller, the day under time is no longer there, the hide icons chevron is gone. The hide icons box is checked, I've rebooted after changing etc. etc. How do I configure this area to what it was?

The day normally appears when the Taskbar is doubled in height. Re-create
the instance. As for the chevron being missing, setting the first icon to
hidden restore its appearance. It does take sometimes hours for the change
to appear.
