If they are on the same controller in a master/slave
jumper setting, then where the IDE cable plugs into the
controller (on the motherboard) may be loose, or the
controller may have gone bad. try slaving one of the cd
drives onto the hard drive cable and make sure it actually
still works. try another IDE cable. Isolate the problem
and fix it.
