Hi,
I don't know of any way to uninstall the version. Your best bet is to be up
to date with MS updates, drivers and reinstalling the problematic
programs/applications.

Hi
The only way to 'uninstall' directx 9.0b is to use System Restore to a
checkpoint before you installed directx.

another possibility is you may need to update your video card drivers, what
video card do you have?

Do a google search for a 33kb file called:
directx-dx9uninstaller.zip
Haven't used it, but I have it tucked away for a rainy day.
