After a reload of XP and then downloading all the updates
a new account appeared called ASP.Net. It is a limited
account and it is password protected. Any ideas? I have
had XP for 3 years and this has never happened.

It's part of the .NET framework and was created when you
installed that
update.
It is used to login to .NET enabled services, if your not
using them, then
you do not need it.
However, it does no harm leaving it there, and you never
know when you might
need to use it.

Hi,
Since the .NET Framework is included in the windows
update and this got updated when you chose download ALL
Fixes/Patches. Dont worry about this account. This is
used for anoymous login to web sites hosted on your pc.
