This option does not work for me. I have set the way a
users logs on with a check mark beside Use Fast User
Switching within the Select logon and log off options.
When we try to switch users....start, log off, switch
user, select user login screen, select new user, the
program returns us back to the login screen and the only
selection/login that works, is the original users login.
The other accounts are setup as administrators accounts.
This is the home version of Windows XP. The PC has 512mb
of Ram with a 1600mhz processor.

This computer is not a member of a domain, its a
standalone unit.
I read the discussion links provided, the Description of
the Fast User Switching Compatibility Service has a note
regarding a service that needs to be started (The Fast
User Switching Compatibility service uses Shsvcs.dll
Without this file, the service cannot be started).
This service is not available in the services (local)
dialog box to check if it running.
