Tried to logon to find that Windows tells me the account
is/may be corrupt and it is now loading a temporary
account. it says on startup

Executing
C:\windows\system32\wlnotify.dll

Then logs into a temp account ? I tried system restore
and it loads into my account now but it still comes up
with the Executing C:\windows\system32\wlnotify.dll
message ?

Whats gone wrong and how can I fix this please ??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Have your WindowsXP Reinstallation CD ready to insert.
Start/Run/type CMD and click Enter
At the blinking cursor, type sfc /scannow (there is a space between c and /)
Click Enter
This will activate XP to scan for missing or corrupt files and ask you if you
want to replace them - answer "yes"
Reboot
Note: sfc = System File Checker
