Hello,

My Win XP system came with Windows Messenger version 4.7
preinstalled. My father just got a new computer and
while we were chatting, we discovered his has a lot more
emoticons, plus backgrounds and such. I tried updating
my Messenger ( a couple of times), but it installs
version 4.7 again. My father's is version 6.0. Is 4.7
the highest I am allowed because my computer is older?

Thank you in advance, Steph

Greetings Steph,

Not at all, what he has is MSN Messenger 6.x, and you're trying to install the latest Windows
Messenger (note the different names).

All you need to do is install the latest MSN Messenger from here:
