Is it possible to disable the automatic install of
hardware/drivers at boot-up ? I am trying to install new
drivers for my Matrox Mystique card and when I uninstall
the old drivers and reboot, by the time I get into windows
xp pro, it has already installed Mystique drivers (which
are old). I want to be able to boot into windows without
it automatically installing the mystique drivers.

Right-click on the device in Device Manager, go to Properties, then the
"Driver" tab and choose "Update Driver"
