Hello:

I'm looking for a replacement for Windows Explorer with the following features:

(1) Ability to have two (or more) panes that show the contents of different
directories. This multi-paned interface allows for easy dragging
(moving/copying) of files from one directory to another.

(2) Ability to determine and show folder sizes in the Details view. All
explorers will show file sizes in the Details view, but most do not seem to
show folder sizes.

I have been experimenting with FileQuest XP Gold 4.0.7 and it's almost exactly
what I'm looking for (multi-panes and folder sizes are both supported), but it
doesn't seem very stable.

Are there any other shareware/commercial programs out there that excel at file
management and contain the features I seek?

Thanks!

Brian Schang

Filewrangler might work for you -
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194265.html which lets you put up
multiple file list panes. It shows the folder size in the status bar
for each pane. There are lots of other file managers out there, so
there may be others which also do what you want.
