Its not recommended,wmp is part of the system files
deleting those will/could cause xp to not operate.
You can install another player and not use wmp.Try wmp
9 series.

Hi,
Same with msn Gaming Zone and other ms folders.
I constder this intrusive and damaging to Microsoft's
image. Plus about 130MB's of Win xp updates.
Thank you for the info. I am using Cyberlink Power
DVD and I have a compulsion to keep my h.d. lean
and mean. Many fdisks as a result of wrong deletions.
