Clearing the print spooler

I have a network that has a printer shared off of an windows xp pro station. For some reason every time I reboot the computer I have to clear the print spool not only on the xp pro box but several of the computers that send jobs to the printer. Even if all
old jobs have printed out. Untill I do this I can not print any new jobs. As soon as I clear all of the old jobs any new ones I sent print out.

Any ideas?
