After being unable to get into windows, I did a system
restore using the restore cd. Now I need to know where
it backed up the files to, so I can get them back. Did
it remove all of my programs? In the restore section,
going through windows, it won't let me pick another date
to restore from, I was going to just go back to another
day.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Using the restore CD wiped out all your stuff. It simple 'restored' things
to original factory settings.

System restore and using the restore cd are two different things. What you
did likely reset everything back to the way your computer was when you got
it, thus wiping out all of your stuff.
