Never mind - the problem was the shortcut link - I fixed
it, but I'm not sure how it happened.

Greetings Fred,

The "parameter is incorrect" usually indicates something was wrong with the Windows Installer
shortcut for the application (the installation service which the MSN Messenger installer is
based on). I'm not quite sure what happened, but if you just remade the shortcut, you
shouldn't have any further difficulties.
