What the heck is wrong with Microsoft????
Why can't you download the hotfix Q308402 without calling
them? All the links in the newsgroup to the hotfix give
you a Knowledge Base Article. I have never seen a run
around like this.
I'm running a Dell, Dell sends you to Microsoft,
Microsoft sends you to Dell and the newsgroups send you
to another endless loop.
Why can't you just download the hotfix??????
I have been having a problem for 5 weeks already: A
higher screen resolution loads than the actual screen
capacity. Dell 8100 Inspiron screen res 1400X1050, keeps
loading to 1600X.... When this happens the screen is
too large and I lose the task bar and the whole right
side of any page and taskbar. I have finally figured
out how to jerry rig it - make the taskbar really really
wide, lock it in place, went into my programs and resized
the screens. Dell says the solution is the recovery
disk but you can't run it without the hotfix cause it
wants a nonexistant password.
I want the Hotfix and I want to be able to download it
without a Presidental order!

service contract ends???
