Installing Netscape Communicator

Have recently purchased new laptop with Windows XP. Old computer OS was
Windows 95. Had Netscape Communicator 4.7 installed on it, and it worked
great for my purposes. Still have CD for NS4.7 and would like to install it
on my laptop instead of IE. However, system requrements for NS4.7 list
Windows 95, 98, NT3.51, or 4.0 operating systems. Since XP is a departure
from all previous Windows OS, will I be able to use the CD I have and
install Communicator 4.7 without any difficulty?

There are newer versions of Netscape. There is a system requirement dialogue.

Netscape 4.79 works fine with XP. However, as it is outmoded, there are
web sites it won't render properly. But that's not an XP issue.
