I've turned on Microsoft Office (XP) Shortcut Bar and now don't know how to
turn it off. I've looked at Microsoft Office Inside-Out (which is a
Microsoft Publication). It does't have it in the index.. I've gone to the
MS knowledgebase and can't find it there. Is there anyone out there who can
tell me how to turn it off.

Press CTRL/ALT/DEL to open the task manager, select
processes and select "office" end process.
To keep it from starting, Start/all programs/startup/ delete
it.
or Start/run/msconfig and uncheck it on the startup page.

I wasn't lookvng in the right place. The "Microsoft Office Shrortcut Bar" is
a part of Office XP. Actually the thing that made me realize it wasn't part
of Windows XP was somthing you said in your note.
Thanks,
Don J

This works on my Office 2000 Toolbar.
Click on the little Windows Icon on the upper left corner of the toolbar -
Choose Exit from the menu.
When you do, it will ask if you want the Toolbar to start automatically
again.
