Need help in Restoring a file from a file (.bkf) - Windows XP Professional

[Rainner Alam]

I recently reformatted my loptop and backup some selected
files (.bkf), then when I tried to restore it... it got
an error!

"The backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be
used"

I don't understand this, how come it's like this when i
used the same utility - "Windows Backup Utility"???

Can anybody help me pls....

Hi Rainner,

- Open the BKF file in a hex editor to check if it blank.
- next download BKFRecovery to see if there are valid files in the BKF file.
