Windows Updates notification?

Can someone tell me how to get the updates to come in automatically, and
then let me view what they are before they are installed? Thanks so much in
advance!

Click "Automatic Updates" tab
Place check by "Keep my computer up to date..."
Place check by "Download the updates automatically..."
Click OK and follow prompts.

Thank you. That's what I have checked. Just wondered as there were a couple
new critical updates, but they didn't come in, I had to get them at the
website.

4 checking updates desired
5 updating

Just because people do not want to do it the way you want Jack, does
not make them lazy.

Windows XP has many capabilities.
Some of which are automatic or nearly so.
The automatic tools do a great job of helping keep computers safe and
secure.
Using tools of technology is not necessarily lazy and it can be very
smart.

Do you do everything for yourself at home and work?
Or are you "lazy" and let technology assist you at times.
Or are you "lazy" and let technology assist you getting to home or
work?
You should be careful when posting in a way that sets yourself as a
standard.
You may be held to that standard.
