Keeping Internet Connection When In Standby

Does anyone know how i would beable to keep my broadband internet connection while the computer goes into standby. I want to beable to set the computer into standby while still being connected to msn messenger. I am on ntl 600k internet with a wireless net
work adaper & router (actiontec)

Hi Chris,

See if this applies:

Right click My Computer Icon/Properties/Hardware/Device Manager. Expand USB
Controllers/Double Click USB Root Hub/Properties. Select Power Management
and uncheck: Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power.
