I've just upgraded to XP Pro from 98 but finds my pc hangs when shutting
down, at the " screen. Windows is shutting down" Anyone any idea what I can
do?

right click My Computer
select Properties
click hardware tab
select Device Manager button
click view > show hidden devices
expand NT Apm/Legacy Support
right click NT Apm/Legcy Interface Node
under device usage select Use this device (enable)
click OK
close windows you opened

I don't have NT Apm showing anywhere. (It's showing hidden devices)
