Greetings --

Did you perform an upgrade, or a new installation? Anyway, the
easiest way would be to simply reinstall Word from its original
installation CD.

I hope you did an upgrade rather than a clean install, which wipes your hard
drive.

They should still be where you left them. In rare cases the contents of
Win98's My Documents folder does not get transferred over to XP's My
Documents folder. If that is what has happened, they are still on your hard
drive. Probably in C:\Windows\My Documents. Try using Start> Search to find
them. Then move them to your new XP "My Documents" folder.

NOTE: The above assumes that you actually did an upgrade install. If you
accidentally did a clean install the files were removed when XP setup
cleared off all of the drive contents before installing itself.
