View Full Version : using a shared phone-fax line

Is there a way of configuring XP(home edition) to
recognise different ring tones? My incoming fax calls
have a different ring to my phone calls but the fax
console answers both if I set it to automatically receive
faxes. At the moment I have it set to manual receive but
that isn't going to be much use when I'm not near the PC.

No - no NT based OS has *ever* supported distinctive ring.
