Hi Elsie,

Disable System Restore then run the cleaner again (from Symantec, etc) in
safe mode. Norton only removes the files not the registry keys.

Elsie, that is because the _restore folder was created by Windows Me, =
not XP. Try to delete the folder through Explorer.

Turning off System Restore in XP deletes the information in the "System =
Volume Information" folders only.=20
