I have 42 critcal updates to install, but it wont let
me. its telling me the cryptographic service is running
on this computer?????????

To solve this problem, download the fix from the URL given below and then
update:

If the problem persits, perform the steps given below at the command prompt:

net stop cryptsvc
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2
net start cryptsvc
