I was successfully running an HP-930 deskjet over the
network with a jet direct box, and the five engineers were
all using Windows 2000 operating system. When I converted
their laptops to Windows XP operating system, we started
getting the following error on every one of them. If you
can offer assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. The
error came up as follows:

Windows cannot print due a problem with the current
printer setup.
Try one or more of the following:
* Check the printer by printing a test page from Windows.
* Make sure the printer is turned on and online.
* Reinstall the printer driver.

If you did not delete the printer before upgrading the OS, you may have a
"bad" printer driver.

See if the information at
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm and
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/Printing%20to%20Print%20Server%20device.htm
helps.

Not all Windows 2000 Printer Drivers work correctly with Windows XP, so make
sure you have install the Windows XP version of the HP 930 printer driver.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
