I have installed driver for Lexmark X5150 printer, but it
takes over 20 seconds before a complete shut down ,
before that only '3 to 4 seconds'

I have a USB Lexmark multifunction printer/scanner/copier, and a USB ZIP
drive. I don't use them frequently. I have them plugged into a power
center/surge protector, with the power center power switch for each of those
two components clicked OFF. My shutdown is faster that way. When I do
need to use either component, I click the power switch for that component on
the power center/surge protector ON. I know that when I use either
component, that shutdown will take longer. 20 seconds for your complete
shutdown is not out of the ordinary. If it bothers you, and you don't use
the printer on a daily basis, then you might consider my work around.
