Is newer better? With Windows 95 and Works 4.0, I had no
problem selecting recipients from a data base and
printing labels for those selected. Now I have a Compaq
Presario 5300 with Windows XP Home and Works 6.0. When I
try to open the database, I get a message that it
contains blank fields or punctuation marks that are not
allowed. My data base does contain a field for Maiden
Names and a two line street address. Not all records
have these fields. Compaq Customer Support suggested
that I download a Mail Merge patch which I did. Now I
need to filter my database to select only those for whom
I have a mailing address. This was VERY SIMPLE to do
with Works 4.0; I have yet to find a way to do it with
Works 6.0. PLEASE HELP. I must have 2,380 labels ready
by this weekend!! Thanks.

Reistall 4.0...........I have 4.5 on my new system along with Works 7.0. I
do a lot of mail merge with the 4.5 program, and just haven't learned how to
do it with the new program.

Good Luck
